Faculty & Staff Workshops

UNC Asheville strives to provide all students, faculty, staff, visitors and guests of the campus community a safe and supportive environment to learn, study, teach, and work. Our ongoing educational programs provide training to members of the campus community in how to effectively prevent, address, and respond to reports of sexual misconduct, harassment and discrimination.

Ongoing Opportunities For Faculty and Staff

  • “Cultivating a Inclusive and Respectful Community.” For all new employees at UNC Asheville. Includes an overview of University policies and procedures, reporting obligations, and strategies to foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive campus community.
  • “What Everyone Needs to Know about Title IX.” In-person, interactive workshop for departments, teams, and small groups. The presentation-based training introduces participants to compliance mandates under Title IX. Participants also discuss scenarios to help build practical skills to respond sensitively to disclosures of sexual misconduct. This program may be modified for specific audiences. An additional module on reporting obligations for Campus Security Authorities may be added to this workshop.

Targeted presentations are also provided to Staff Council, Faculty Senate, Department Chairs and Program Directors, and University administrators.
